• The glass, described as "Phoenician" by historians, fueled the legend, like many of man's technical conquests. It originated in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium and we owe its rebirth and development during the Iron Age to a few Mesopotamian glassmakers who settled in Phenicia.
